How working days are calculated

A working day (or business day) is any day the average office is expected to be open — Monday to Friday excluding officially designated public holidays. For United Arab Emirates 2026, this calculation produces approximately 252 working days across the year. Our table breaks the count down by month, showing the total calendar days, weekend days subtracted, public-holiday days subtracted, and the resulting working-day count. Note that public holidays falling on a weekend are not double-counted (they're already excluded as weekend days), and observed-day substitutions follow each country's official rule.
