Terms of Service.
Last updated: 1 May 2026
These terms are provided in English. Translations are for convenience only; the English version is authoritative in case of any conflict.
These Terms govern your use of TheOnlineCalendar. By accessing the site you agree to them. They are written in plain English and intended to be readable.
Acceptance of these Terms
By accessing or using TheOnlineCalendar, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These Terms form a legal agreement between you and the operator of TheOnlineCalendar.
If you are using the site on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
Description of the service
TheOnlineCalendar is a free, public-facing reference for public holidays, school holidays, working-day calculations, and related editorial guides covering more than 190 countries. The site is supported by editorial work and may, in the future, be supported by display advertising or licensing arrangements.
The service is provided as-is, without any guarantee that it will always be available, error-free, or fit for any particular purpose. We may add, remove, or change features at any time, and we may suspend or discontinue all or part of the service without prior notice.
Acceptable use
You may use TheOnlineCalendar for personal, educational, journalistic, and reasonable business reference purposes. You may not: (a) scrape, crawl, or systematically copy substantial portions of the site or its data with automated tools; (b) frame, mirror, or rehost the site or large portions of its content; (c) use the site or its content to mislead, defraud, or harm others; (d) attempt to interfere with the site's normal operation, security, or rate limits; (e) probe for vulnerabilities outside of a responsible-disclosure context; or (f) use the site or its content in any way that violates applicable law or third-party rights.
If you wish to reuse the data at scale, in a commercial product, or for redistribution, please contact us about a licensing arrangement.
Intellectual property and attribution
The underlying public-holiday dates are facts derived from public records and are not themselves copyrightable. However, the editorial selection, presentation, structure, written commentary, country guides, holiday explainers, and the layout of TheOnlineCalendar are the copyright of the operator. Country names, flags, and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
If you reuse small amounts of data in a non-commercial context, we ask that you provide a visible link back to TheOnlineCalendar.com. For larger or commercial uses, written permission is required. Bulk republication of editorial guides without permission is not permitted.
Limitation of liability
TheOnlineCalendar is provided on a best-effort basis. Public holiday data changes — governments add, move, or replace observances, sometimes with very little notice. While we work hard to keep dates accurate, you should always verify with a primary government source before making travel, business, payroll, contract, or other consequential decisions based on this site.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the operator is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Third-party content and links
The site may contain links to third-party websites and may, in the future, display advertising. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, security, or practices of any third-party site or advertisement. Following an external link is at your own discretion and risk. The fact that we link to a site is not an endorsement of that site or its operator.
Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the service or in applicable law. The revised Terms will be posted on this page with an updated "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for a reasonable period. Your continued use of the site after the revised Terms are posted constitutes acceptance of those revisions; if you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the site shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom, except that we may bring proceedings in the jurisdiction in which you reside where required by applicable consumer-protection law.
